Buy Me a Beer - I'm Retiring!
After 30 Years, Let’s Raise a Glass
After thirty years as the owner of Jasper’s Homebrew & Winemaking Supply and Boomchugalug.com, I’m retiring.
It’s been a pleasure helping you turn grain, hops, yeast, and the occasional ambitious idea into something worth sharing. Along the way, I’ve answered a few questions and filled a few bags.
How many? Well, by my admittedly approximate retirement math:
-
560,000 pounds of malt extract syrup poured
-
81,000 bags of that sticky stuff heat-sealed
-
400,000 pounds of grain hand-weighed, crushed, and packaged
-
105,000 ounces of hops weighed and packaged
-
75,000 brewing questions answered
Somewhere in there, I hope I helped you make a beer you were proud of—or rescue one you were worried about.
Of course, the numbers only tell part of the story. What I’ll remember most are the conversations, the shared enthusiasm, and the customers who kept coming back. Thank you for trusting my recipes, supporting my business, and making Jasper’s and Boomchugalug part of your brewing lives.
Now, after all that pouring, I thought I’d let someone else buy the next round.
If a recipe, a bit of advice, or a carefully packed box of ingredients made your brewing a little better over the years, and you’d like to send a small farewell tip, you can buy me a retirement beer through the button below.
The button takes you to Buy Me a Coffee, where you can leave an optional farewell tip. Despite the name, I reserve the right to spend it on beer.
Whether you buy me a beer or simply raise a glass at home, thank you for being part of these thirty years.
Cheers to whatever’s brewing next!
Thanks for the memories!
Jeff Walch
