Considered to be a classic American flavor and aroma hop, Cascade hops are the quintessential go-to hop for brewing the American versions of pale and IPA. Cascade delivers the signature citrusy-floral character with an unmistakable bent towards freshly zested grapefruit peel. Cascade offers medium bittering potential with alpha acids ranging from about 4.5 to 7.0%, and if Cascade is offering medium bittering potential with an affable alpha acid range, then you better damn well take it. Fun Fact: In 2019, Cascade was the United States’ 3rd most produced hop. Despite its popularity, it experienced a 22% reduction in growing acreage between 2014 and 2019.
