Summit Hop Pellets
Summit® hops, known for their robust alpha acid content, were indeed a pioneering variety introduced by the American Dwarf Hop Association in 2003. Their lineage includes high-alpha varieties such as Lexus, Zeus, and Nugget, along with contributions from open pollination. While their primary role is to impart a strong bittering quality to beers, Summit® hops also provide a distinct aroma profile, rich in herbaceous and spicy notes, with hints of black pepper and anise. Their citrus characteristics draw a parallel to Simcoe hops, making them a popular choice for crafting the bold flavors found in IPAs and Imperial IPAs.
