Home Beer Making Starter Equipment Kit FAQ
What does the starter equipment kit include?
This kit comes fully stocked with essential brewing gear to help you turn ingredients into delicious homebrew. Inside you'll find a fermentation bucket with lid, a bottling bucket with spigot, airlock, adhesive thermometer, siphon assembly, bottle filler, bottle capper, hydrometer, bottle brush, cleaner/sanitizer, and a New Brewer's Handbook filled with helpful brewing instructions and tips. Everything is designed to work together seamlessly—no guesswork needed.
Will this work with extract beer recipes?
Absolutely. This starter kit is specifically built for extract beer brewing, which is the easiest and most beginner-friendly method. Pair it with a 5-gallon extract recipe, and you're good to go.
Is this kit beginner-friendly?
Yes — it's ideal for first-time brewers. The equipment is easy to use, and our detailed guide walks you through each step, from brew day to bottling. No prior brewing experience required!
What else do I need before brewing my first batch?
You'll need a brew pot (we recommend our 5-gallon stainless steel brew pot) and bottles for packaging your beer. We offer both 12 oz and 22 oz bottles so you can choose the size that fits your style.
Can this setup be upgraded later?
Definitely. This kit lays a solid foundation, and you can build on it over time. Add-ons like wort chillers, auto-siphons, or kegging systems are easy to incorporate when you're ready to level up.
How much beer can I make with this kit?
Each brew yields about 5 gallons — roughly two cases of beer. Want to start smaller? We also carry 1-gallon kits and matching recipe kits if you're tight on space or just testing the waters.
What’s the difference between extract brewing and all-grain brewing?
Extract brewing uses malt extract and is faster, simpler, and more beginner-friendly. All-grain brewing involves more steps and more equipment but gives experienced brewers total control over ingredients and process.
